Cattery

At Naptha Boarding we believe there are 3 essential ingredients for a successful stay in the cattery:

Eating

Maintaining a feeding routine similar to your own is an essential step in minimising stress in the cattery. To this end we stock a wide range of branded cat food both wet and dry. If your cat has a special diet, we are happy for you to supply his food and will always feed as per your instructions.

Relaxation

With music playing throughout the day we create a peaceful, calm environment and we find that most of the cats that come to stay with us spend a lot of time sleeping! To help them relax we provide a comfortable bed in the inside sleeping area which is heated in winter and a chair and blanket in the outside run which catches the afternoon sun. If you think it will help your cat settle, we are very happy for you to bring their own bed or blanket.

Human contact

The biggest worry when leaving your cat is that he will miss you and, of course, he will but we will be a temporary replacement. With 4 dedicated members of staff, your cat will get plenty of individual attention. We all love hands on time giving cuddles or a bit of grooming, whatever makes him feel content.

If your cat is taking long-term medication or is unwell when he is due to come into the cattery we are still happy to look after him as long as the condition is not contagious. We will administer any medication as required and keep in regular contact if you require updates on his progress.
